We arrived in Cocoa beach on Saturday afternoon after a long day of travel. Logan flew for the first time and did really well until the last 30 minutes of the flight as we waited for a gate to open. The hot Florida sun welcomed us with open arms with temperatures in the mid-90’s and very humid. All the family made it safely and we even got a swim in before dark.
Yesterday, we spent the morning walking the beach and visited the pier where the kids got to watch people surf and fish. After the girls returned from the grocery, we headed to the pool where Logan splashed away. He absolutely LOVES the pool. Kari, Logan and I headed to Ron Jon’s in the afternoon to get out of the sun for a bit before heading to Olive Garden for dinner with the fam.
This morning we got up early and watched the sun rise. We got a lot of great pictures and Logan learned a little about this stuff called sand. After Logan wakes up from his nap, we plan to head out to the beach so he can play a bit.
Cheers!
Here are a few pics from Dad’s retirement party. I had more, but lost some in a hard drive crash before they were backed up…bummer.
Last weekend, we gathered at Katie and Jarod’s for a last minute Mother’s Day celebration. Kristin and Jason and their kids as well as Gary and Sally were able to come down to Columbus for a cookout and family time. “Isn’t this wonderful!”, says Sally as everyone chatted and watched the Cavs lose, again. We had a little premature birthday celebration for Sally as well since her birthday was this weekend.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted, as I’ve been itching to get a few pics out here. I just haven’t had any time recently. Below are a number of different pictures of Logan from month 7. There are more pictures of Logan playing with Bailee, a visit to see Great Grandma and Grandpa, bath time, visit from the Scholl’s, feeding the ducks and a host of other great pictures. I’m starting to love the new camera, as you can tell. Enjoy the pictures!
I was in Chicago this week attending the 2010 North American CACS conference. Had a great time seeing the various sights each evening and had a chance to attend my first Cubs game, which was a blast. I caught my first foul ball – ever. It bounced off the ground about 6 rows in front of me and practically landed in my lap. Luckily my camera was not out when this happened. We also visited the Museum Campus as part of the conference sponsored activities. Tulips were in bloom all over the city as well – very cool.
